Here's What That Actually Means.

Legacy Family Dentistry is an out-of-network dental provider. We don't hold direct contracts with insurance companies — but that doesn't mean your insurance can't help cover your care.

Here's how it works in plain terms:

  • You pay Legacy directly for your treatment at the time of service

  • We file your insurance claim for you — as a courtesy, at no extra charge

  • Your insurance provider sends your reimbursement directly to you

  • The amount reimbursed depends on your specific plan and its out-of-network benefits

If you have a PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan, there's a good chance your insurance will cover a meaningful portion of your treatment, even though we're out of network. HMO plans, unfortunately, typically do not provide out-of-network benefits. If you're unsure which plan you have, we're happy to help you figure that out before you book.
